2.0 joule Defender electric fence energiser

A battery or mains powered electric fence energiser for permanent or temporary electric fence systems.

This 2.0 joule Defender electric fence energiser from Rappa powers up to 3.0km of tape and has the advantage of being easily movable from field to field or used where no mains power supply is readily to hand.

Hooked up to a 12-volt battery, the S20 controls animals in remote locations; connected to mains power, it provides reliable, fuss-free electric fencing for a wide range of stock.

This Rappa dual power energiser has all the power you need for more heavy-duty applications, as well as all the convenience of dual power sources.

Defender Electric Fence Energisers, in our experience, are the most suitable and reliable electric fence energisers for equine use and can be run from either a battery or the mains.

To work effectively the power output from the energiser should be a minimum of 3000 volts. For safety, the power through the fence should be 5-8,000 volts. The optimum type of shock to safely contain horses should be a very short but extremely high voltage pulse – similar to a bee sting.

FIELDGUARD TIP

Energisers need to be very well earthed with an earth rod of at least 1m. Our ER3 earth stake is perfect for this job.
